Alumasc Exterior Building Products manufacturing site at St.Helens is audited by Underwriters Laboratories to the ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management Standard and are currently completing similar accreditation for the entire business at their Burton Latimer site.
The measurement against this internationally recognised benchmark not only allows comparative reporting across the Alumasc Group but also provides a framework that informs all aspects of the company’s development, from improvements in the day to day running of their manufacturing sites to the long term product design and refinement programmes.
The ISO14001 Standard is structured in such a way as to encourage improvement in all area of environmental management, ranging from up stream monitoring of raw materials supply chains to post life recycling of manufactured product.
Alumasc Exterior Building Products are committed to achieving improvements not only as good neighbours to the surrounds at their manufacturing plants but in the responsible sourcing of raw materials and monitoring of their impact on the environment as a whole.
